We believe that every child is a hero on a journey to change the world!  

As a mother and a teacher, it was important for me to find a learning environment where my daughter could use her curiosity to explore the world.  In our search for options, we discovered Acton Academy and were blown away by their deep belief that children are capable of far more than we give them credit for.  What would a classroom look like if young learners were encouraged to build independence, work on meaningful, real-life skills and explore their own passions? When we searched for an Acton academy, the closest location was over 2 hours away.  After much discussion, we believed this new approach to learning was the best environment for our daughter and decided to commit to our own hero’s journey by starting AWE (Acton Windsor/Essex) Academy.
